An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a sophisticated yet easy-to-use medical device designed to analyze heart rhythms. When necessary, the AED delivers an electric shock to defibrillate the heart, effectively re-establishing a normal rhythm for the victim.
In a healthy individual, an effective heartbeat occurs when the atria and ventricles contract in coordination to pump blood out of the heart chambers. The Zoll AED Plus, a renowned American product, fully supports the Vietnamese language. Its defining feature is the Real CPR Help® technology. The device provides an LCD screen displaying victim data and visual illustrations for pad placement. Crucially, it offers real-time feedback on compression force, issuing audible commands such as "Push Harder" or confirming "Good Compression" to ensure high-quality CPR. This model uses a one-piece electrode pad (CPR-D-padz) that includes a sensor to locate the correct compression point. The device measures 13.3 x 24.1 x 29.2 cm and weighs 3.1 kg.

Also from Zoll (USA), the Zoll AED 3 represents the next generation of defibrillators. Like the Plus model, it supports Vietnamese and features a high-resolution LCD touchscreen with rich visual guides. It continues the legacy of Real CPR Help with real-time compression feedback. A significant upgrade in this model is its Wi-Fi connectivity, which links the device to a cloud-based management system. This allows facility managers to remotely monitor the readiness of all AEDs in the field and track their locations. The Zoll AED 3 uses Universal Pads (Uni-padz) for both adults and children; the rescuer simply presses a button to switch modes. Dimensions are 7 x 20 x 20 cm, with a weight of 3.1 kg.
