Handover of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to the Sakura Healthcare System

Below are some photos from the handover ceremony of the Nihon Kohden 3100 AED and the first-aid training session at the Sakura Healthcare System in Hanoi.

Why do customers who equip AEDs need CPR training?

When purchasing a new medical device, proper training is essential to ensure correct usage. However, when it comes to Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), simply knowing how to operate the device is not enough. Users must also understand basic first-aid knowledge—especially Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) skills.

In Wellbeing’s first-aid training sessions, our doctors often explain that when comparing CPR and AED use in rescuing a sudden cardiac arrest victim, CPR can be seen as the right leg and the AED as the left leg. Only when both legs move together can we reach the destination—saving the victim’s life. Both CPR and AEDs play equally vital roles. If a rescuer knows how to use an AED but does not know how to perform CPR, the victim’s chance of survival remains very low.

Therefore, when a partner equips their organization with AEDs, in addition to receiving detailed instructions on AED operation, they are also provided with comprehensive training on:

  • Essential first-aid principles

  • Hands-on CPR practice

  • Practical training on using an AED in combination with CPR

This integrated approach ensures rescuers are confident, effective, and ready to act during the critical “golden minutes” of a cardiac emergency.

Thank you to our valued partners for trusting and choosing the AED models officially distributed by Wellbeing over the years. Below are some photos from the handover ceremony of the Nihon Kohden 3100 AED and the first-aid training session at the Sakura Healthcare System in Hanoi.

Thank you for joining hands with Wellbeing in building a safer Vietnam!
