WELLBEING PROUDLY PARTNERS WITH THE VIETNAM DEPARTMENT OF PEACEKEEPING OPERATIONS

In October, Wellbeing Health Education Organization partnered with the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations to conduct a training program on the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) for military personnel and medical professionals. The program aimed to equip participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in AED operation, strengthening their ability to respond effectively to sudden cardiac arrest during their missions.

Enhancing AED Skills for Cardiac Arrest Emergencies

An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a medical device designed to analyze heart rhythms and guide users through delivering an electric shock when a shockable rhythm is detected.

In cases of sudden cardiac arrest, early recognition, activating emergency medical services, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and promptly using an AED play crucial roles in improving a victim's chances of survival.

Through this training program, military personnel and medical professionals from the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations received guidance on AED operation, helping strengthen their preparedness and ability to respond to cardiac arrest emergencies.

Wellbeing Supports Vietnam's Peacekeeping Forces

The Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations, formerly known as the Vietnam Peacekeeping Center, is a specialized agency under the Ministry of National Defence responsible for Vietnam's participation in United Nations peacekeeping operations.

Given the challenging environments in which peacekeeping personnel carry out their missions, strengthening first aid knowledge and the ability to use emergency medical equipment is essential to safeguarding their health and safety.
