Wellbeing x OLAM Vietnam: Equipping Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)

That was a hesitant remark made by a trainee at the First Aid training session of Olam Vietnam (Northern Dragon Warehouse - An Phuoc Industrial Park) last week. That hesitation is entirely understandable, because for the majority of people in the community, holding an emergency medical device and directly performing life-saving maneuvers carries immense pressure.

However, just 2 hours later, the timid look was gone. That trainee was now proficiently executing every decisive chest compression on the mannequin. With detailed guidance from Wellbeing's doctors, the trainee was able to practice: quickly turning on the AED, attaching the electrode pads, and loudly calling out to ensure the safety of bystanders before pressing the shock button.

This incredible transformation from anxiety to a confident, practical demeanor is the strongest affirmation that absolutely anyone can use an automated external defibrillator (AED) when thoroughly instructed and given hands-on practice.
